Connecting Things - (Primary/Cycle 1)

In this lesson, students explore the challenges that are presented when you don’t speak the same language through a code breaker challenge. This leads to a discussion about communication between machines, and the concept of the Internet of Things followed by a fun game where they are encouraged to imagine communication between a variety of objects.

Connecting Communities - (Middle/Cycle 2)

Students are introduced to some real-world examples of the Internet of Everything to help them in their understanding of the concept. They play a fun team board game to demonstrate this understanding and create connections in a number of different situations. They finish the lesson by linking this learning to Expo 2020 and how technology connections can be instrumental to the success of such a large event.

Connecting the Expo - (Secondary/Cycle 3)

Students are introduced to some real-world examples of the Internet of Everything through a fun game of Guess that Connection. This helps them to define the four key elements of the Internet of Everything. They learn that technology can aid the personalisation of an experience and this will be key to a good visitor experience at Expo 2020.
