A world Expo is a mega event which hosts countries from all the over the world to showcase innovations while addressing global challenges. The word ‘Expo’ is short for exposition, which means ‘large public exhibition’. A World Expo is also called a ‘Universal Exposition’ or ‘World Fair’.Every five years, World Expos gather people and nations from around the world for six months to celebrate human ingenuity, progress and cooperation.
Expos are exciting spaces for sharing new ideas and imagining a brighter future for all thinking, working and creating together.

Fact: World Expos take place every five years. If you are between the ages of 5 to 20, between 2 to 4 Expos have taken place within your lifetime. Yet, the majority of people in this region have never been to a world Expo before!
Why? An Expo has never touched this part of the world before! Expo 2020 Dubai will be the very first World Expo to take place in the Middle East, Africa, and South Asia region. Luckily, this time around, it’s coming right here to your doorstep!
