Protecting the Magnificent Five - (Primary/Cycle 1)

Students discover the rich biodiversity of UAE and learn about the importance of conservation as part of a sustainable future for UAE. They create conservation campaign slogans and ideas that could be used in a conservation zone at Expo 2020.

Conservation City 2071- (Middle/Cycle 2)

Students identify iconic species of UAE and explore the importance of biodiversity for sustaining wildlife in UAE. They find out about conservation efforts in UAE before creating and sharing innovative ideas for reducing human impact on local biodiversity in a conservation city for the year 2071. Students reflect on what they could do today to support local biodiversity.

Mapping 2100 - (Secondary/Cycle 3)

Students learn about UAE’s National Climate Change Plan’s framework to manage / build / advance and create maps of their adaptation ideas for the UAE of 2100. They reflect on how nature-inspired design thinking can help with climate adaptation and identify key changes in thinking which will build young peoples’ capacity to adapt for and thrive in a changing climate.
